Our First-Year Executive Interns shadow a respective ResSoc executive member in a unique professional development opportunity where they can learn skills to manage a student government, practice professional skills (interviewing, policy writing and reviewing), participate in event-planning, and work in a team setting with other staff. Executive Interns attend ResSoc General Assembly and Internal Committee Meetings in addition to working on their own projects under their supervisor. They also serve as one of the ways ResSoc can directly engage with the first-year student body in residence, helping ResSoc promote itself as a resource, potential future employer, host of residence events/initiatives. Executive Interns will receive an honourarium at the end of the academic year for their work.
